Technical product support for manufacturers
The right answer from your own documentation, with the page it came from.
SpecDesk answers your customers' specification and compatibility questions on your website, using only your manuals and datasheets. When your documents don't say, it says so.
Yes, on the 2P2 models only. They accept single-phase 200 to 240 V input, and output current must be derated to 50% of the three-phase rating.

That isn't stated in the documentation I have, so I can't confirm it. Please check with Northline technical support before specifying it for a hazardous location.

What changes
Questions your manuals already answer stop reaching your engineers.
A distributor emails to ask which drive fits a 480 V, 25 hp motor.
They ask the assistant and get the model, the table it came from, and a link to the page.
An engineer calls to confirm an operating temperature range before releasing a design.
The answer is on the website at 9 p.m., with the datasheet revision it was read from.
A question the manual doesn't answer gets a confident guess from whoever picks up.
The assistant says it isn't documented and routes the customer to your team with the question attached.
How it works
Live in about a week, and you approve it before anyone sees it.
- 01
Send us your documentation
Manuals, datasheets, catalogs and FAQs, or the address of your product pages. We read what is public, and you can add anything that isn't.
- 02
We build it and test it against your documents
Every test question is checked against the source page, not against another model's opinion. You get the results, including the questions it should not answer.
- 03
You review it, then it goes on your site
Ask it what your customers ask. When you approve the answers, it is added to your website.
Accuracy
Built for questions where a wrong answer costs money.
A spec question is not a chat. The design choices below exist because a guessed voltage rating or ordering code is worse than no answer.
- Answers carry their source
- Each answer links to the document and page it was read from, so your customer, and your support team, can check it.
- It says when it doesn't know
- If the documentation doesn't cover a question, the assistant says so and offers a person. It does not fill the gap with a plausible guess.
- Part numbers must exist in your documents
- A model or ordering code in an answer has to appear in the sources it retrieved. If it doesn't, the answer is rewritten rather than shown.
- It identifies itself as AI
- The widget says it is an AI assistant, always.
Questions
What buyers usually ask first.
What happens when it gets something wrong?
Every conversation is logged and every answer can be rated. Wrong or unanswered questions land in a queue; you correct the documentation or add an answer, and the fix applies to all future conversations. We report the refusal rate and the rated-wrong rate monthly so you can see it improving.
Is our data used to train models?
No. Your documents and conversations are used to run your assistant and nothing else. Each customer's data is isolated from every other customer's at the database level.
Which documents can it use?
Product pages, PDF manuals, datasheets and FAQs, including tables. For documents behind a login or that your site does not allow crawlers to read, you supply the files.
What does it cost?
A one-time setup fee and a monthly fee that includes a performance report. We quote after seeing your documentation, because the amount of material is what drives the work.
Do you replace our support team?
No. It takes the repeat, documented questions so your team spends its time on the ones that need an engineer.
Send us a link to your documentation.
We will build a working assistant from your public documents so you can ask it what your customers ask. It is clearly labeled as built from your public documentation, not as an official product of yours.
